February 3rd:   We arrived at Port Vila, Vanuatu and docked right about 8am.   We had a couple of hours before our tour (Cascades & Rainforest Walk) departed, thus had time for a leisurely breakfast.

Vanuatu was originally named "New Hebrides" by James Cook.   It was only in the 1970s that an independence movement arose and the Republic of Vanuatu was created in 1980.
