Up 2010 South Pacific & Australia » Moorea

In the wee hours of the morning (we were told it was something like 5am!) on January 24th, we departed Papeete, Tahiti and set "sail" toward Moorea, only about 15 miles away.   We had been able to easily see Moorea from Tahiti so it was a short trip.   Moorea is another of the islands that make of French Polynesia and is part of the Society Islands.

Interestingly, Moorea means "yellow lizard" in Tahitian!   We never saw a yellow lizard while we were there.
