January 23, 2010: After spending a day at sea, we docked in Papeete, Tahiti, the capital of French Polynesia.   We would overnight there.

Our excursion for Tahiti was not scheduled until the afternoon so I made a brief jaunt into the adjacent downtown area.   Our excursion, "Tahiti Natural Treasures", would completely circumnavigate the island with several stops along the way.   The evening brought "Dinner Under the Stars" on the pool deck followed by a great Polynesian Review in the theater.
