We spent the first night of our trip at the Holiday Inn right at the harbor in San Diego. We could see both the airport and the ship from our balcony.

Our ship (Regent Seven Seas Voyager) had come in earlier in the day, however, for other than the folks embarking on the World Cruise, it was not boardable until the next day.   For those folks embarking on the World Cruise, there was a big party which, we learned later, included entertainment by Jay Leno!
