UpDecember '07 - January '08 South America:   Antarctica PrevNextSlideshow

The Christmas decorations are still up on December 30th.   They were absolutely beautiful throught the ship and certainly made for a festive holiday.

Being our curious selves, we wondered what happens to the decorations when they come down.   One evening we asked Lisa (crew member and entertainer) and she said it's quite a process to take them all down, put them in special labeled boxes and get them below and behind the public areas until the next season.   We went to bed on the night of January 5th or 6th, don't remember which, and they were still up.   When we got up the next day, they were all down!

Note the windows in the back shows it is full daylight.   This picture was taken after midnight!
