UpDecember '07 - January '08 South America:   Antarctica PrevNextSlideshow

Our favorite bartender (Geraldine) making her first ever snowballs.   She is a Phillipine native and had never seen snow before.

Our expedition leader, Stewart, had advised that Antarctica gets very little snow, usually no more than 2-3 inches per year.   If I remember correctly, he said because it is too cold.   This day, there must have been close to an inch.
