December '07 - January '08 South America: Antarctica

Russian ship anchored off the coast near the research station. It looks large enough to be carrying some really adventurous travelers that will make the trip ashore in the zodiacs. Would loved to have been able to go ashore, just to say we'd set foot on the Antarctic continent but we would have had to have had heavier shoes with ice treads!
