On December 20th, we flew up to Iguazu Falls for an overnight stay. The first day included a boat ride up to and under the falls. Yes, we got soaking wet! We weren't aware of this part of the excursion and had left our bathing suits back in Buenos Aires. We made a quick trip to a little shop to get swimsuits! The boat had large rubber bags for us to put shoes and cameras in, thus they didn't get wet.

Day 2, December 21st, included a train ride out to a station at the top of the falls level. We walked close to a mile on a catwalk out to the main part of the falls, Garganta del Diablo (Devil's Throat). WOW! What power!

In the afternoon, we flew back to Buenos Aires to embark on our 21 day cruise around southern South America.
