Linda (Thelma) had found our website through Cruise Critic and sent me a note
about our Rhine Cruise in April of 2007. She and Betty (Louise) and their
respective spouses are taking the same cruise later this year (summer of 2007).
We began exchanging notes and we quickly became fast e-friends.
Betty had a last minute opportunity for aWestern Caribbean trip and her husband
couldn't get away from his work so she asked Linda to go along. It wasn't
until they got back and Linda sent me pictures showing that I'd been thought
about along the way!
During the trip, other folks began to call them "Thelma & Louise"! I still
don't know what kind of antics they were into that inspired the naming! I
will let that remain their little secret!
Their first stop was in Key West. Knowing
that we lived in Florida, Linda asked me about Key West and while it had
been many years since we'd been there, I did tell her what we had done
on that trip. The Conch Train for one!
And, of course a stop at Sloppy Joe's! Well, at least for a
picture! Linda on the right is holding artwork she drew to take
along on the cruise! Betty is game for the whole thing!
The sign says "It's 5:00 somewhere, where's Ruth?" Thus my
vicarious trip began!

These two even took me shopping with them! Fortunately, this is
Key West so no one would ever bat an eye at the kookiness! What
fun ladies! Traveling with them would have to have been a
continuous joy! |
| And, I even got to share the Captain's
reception with them! I loved having my own glass with my name
etched on it! Linda's work is fantastic! And, I'm sure they
each had a glass of champagne for me!! |

And, now on the beach at West Bay Beach in Roatan, Honduras, we meet
Ruth the parrot! I think this one is my favorite! I'm just
not sure why my new found friends are sipping soda leaving me to drink
the heavier stuff alone!! Well, perhaps it isn't plain lemonade
and pure cola in those drinks they are holding! Only they know!

And here are the Roman Goddesses of the Grape all decked out for the Toga Party holding all three of the signs Linda had drawn!

Thank you Thelma & Louise for a delightful trip! |
